About the Role

Yeshivah – Beth Rivkah Colleges is a vibrant Independent School community comprising two Primary Schools, two Secondary Schools, an Early Learning Centre and a Creche.

With a focus on both Jewish and General studies, we provide an environment that is both enriching and nurturing.

Our Girls' Secondary School is currently looking for an exceptional Secondary Maths Teacher. This is a permanent part time role offering 0.375 FTE, 14.25 hours per week.

  • Planning and implementation of a curriculum of teaching programs or courses of study using a range of teaching techniques and materials
  • Planning, implementing and marking a variety of assessment tasks to monitor students’ progress
  • Implementation of strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
  • Maintenance of records of class attendance and recording of student progress
  • Liaison with students and parents
  • Implementation of effective student management strategies consistent with the school’s behaviour management plan
  • Attendance at regular staff and curriculum planning meetings
  • Provide supervision of students during recess, as timetabled

Provide a safe and nurturing environment and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community

About you:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in secondary maths studies curriculum content, current curriculum approaches and teaching practices
  • Passionate about teaching and working with children
  • Resilience, empathy and patience in their approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication skills, classroom management and flexible on tailoring to varying student needs

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education (Bachelor degree or higher)
  • Current VIT registration
