We stand with our community
In light of the continued growth in anti-Semitism, Jewish Care is part of the Jewish Community Crisis Management Team. https://www.jccm.org.au/psychological-support and we work as one community.
Our staff provide counselling, assistance and support to all members of the Jewish community at this incredibly traumatic and destabilising time.
Our Social workers are available to listen, offer support and make connections to ongoing psychology services as needed. Our support is not ‘one-size-fits-all’. We focus on providing a compassionate and culturally safe response that is tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
We will talk with you to understand what is happening in your life and work together to find the way forward. We work in a way that is person-centred and collaborative: essentially, you are in the driver’s seat.
We understand that reaching out can be hard, but please remember that we are here to help. We pride ourselves on providing safe and non-judgemental support that is sensitive to the cultural and religious needs of our community.
If you or someone you know needs assistance or counselling support, please contact (03) 8517 5999 to speak to one of our social workers.
For those who are looking for self-help resources, please visit our Community Resource Hub.
We also provide consultation, guidance and advice to community leaders, professionals and other service providers.
