Free culturally informed mental health support for Tasmania's Jewish Community
In response to the growth of antisemitism and its psychological impacts, Jewish Care (Victoria) has received funding to provide mental health and wellbeing support for people living in Tasmania who identify with, or are connected to, the Tasmanian Jewish Community.
Support is delivered via telehealth, either online or over the phone and is safe, respectful and culturally informed. Our team is available to listen to the challenges and experiences of community members, provide short-term telephone support, and help navigate pathways to ongoing care and services.
As part of this initiative, Jewish Care will also support Tasmania's mainstream primary healthcare services through training and the sharing of culturally informed resources.
How we can help
- Safe, culturally informed telehealth support
- Emotional support and wellbeing conversations
- Assistance navigating ongoing mental health services and supports
- Training and culturally informed resources for mainstream primary healthcare services
Community-led approach
Jewish Care is committed to engaging the Tasmanian Jewish community to understand local needs and deliver meaningful, culturally informed mental health and wellbeing support. Through ongoing consultation and engagement, community voices will help shape how this initiative develops. We encourage community members to get in touch, share their experiences, and learn more about available support.
