Jewish Care Victoria continues to work diligently to safeguard the wellbeing of elders and staff across all our services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are very disappointed to advise that an elder at Residential Home Carnegie has tested positive to COVID-19 and is being supported by staff.
As a result, only one house has been placed into lockdown and all elders and their families who are directly impacted have been notified of the lockdown and revised visitation. It is expected that Day three testing will occur on Monday 7 February.
Jewish Care will continue to offer supports to all elders to exercise, undertake activities and remain in contact with family and loved ones during this time.
“We urge everyone in our community to comply with the Victorian Pandemic Orders regarding isolation requirements. Please do not visit our homes if you have the slightest of signs or symptoms, are awaiting a test result, have been notified that you are a household contact or are in isolation”, said Adjunct Professor Alan Lilly, Chief Executive Officer.
