24 June 2022
We are disappointed to advise that in the past 48 hours two elders at Residential Home Carnegie have tested positive to COVID-19 but thankfully neither elder is unwell.
We are in daily contact with the Public Health Unit (PHU) and will manage the outbreak in line with their recommendations to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all elders and staff.
We will undertake daily rapid antigen testing of elders in line with PHU requirements. Elders and family members are being regularly updated.
For those wishing to visit elders at Residential Home Carnegie, please note that COVIDSafe protocols are strictly enforced and we ask for your respect in complying. Of course, no visits must occur if the visitor is feeling unwell in any way.
We remind and encourage the community to remain hyper vigilant with sanitising, mask wearing where appropriate and remaining at home if you feel unwell. We cannot stress enough how important it is to get your COVID-19 winter dose, if you are eligible, and Influenza vaccine as soon as you are able.
The COVID-19 winter dose is free of charge and the Influenza vaccine is free of charge until the end of June. Book for either vaccine at www.hotdoc.com.au
