11 January 2022

Jewish Care Victoria is delighted to have received advice from the Public Health Unit that Residential Home Windsor was no longer considered an outbreak site as of 10 January 2022. Consequently, elders are no longer required to isolate in their rooms which is wonderful news for elders and staff.

It is expected that the Public Health Unit will provide advice regarding Residential Home Carnegie on Wednesday 12 January 2022.

Jewish Care has revised visitation protocols in line with Minister for Health, Mr Martin Foley’s pandemic orders advised on Monday 10 January 2022. The protocols are designed to mitigate the risk of transmission in light of the growing number of COVID-19 cases and the highly infectious and transmissible nature of the Omicron variant. Families of elders have been advised of the visitation requirements.

“We would like to take this opportunity to again thank our wonderful staff across our organisation for their care, compassion, and professionalism during this most challenging time”, said Michael Debinski, Interim Chief Executive Officer.
