13 January 2022

Jewish Care Victoria is delighted to have received advice from the Public Health Unit on Wednesday 12 January that restrictions at Residential Home Carnegie have been partially lifted. All elders and families who are directly impacted have been notified.

Jewish Care has revised visitation protocols in line with Minister for Health, Mr Martin Foley’s pandemic orders advised on Monday 10 January 2022. The protocols are designed to mitigate the risk of transmission in light of the growing number of COVID-19 cases and the highly infectious and transmissible nature of the Omicron variant. Families of elders have been advised of the visitation requirements.

“We would once again like to take this opportunity to thank our elders and families for their patience and understanding and our wonderful staff for their care and professionalism during this most challenging time”, said Michael Debinski, Interim Chief Executive Officer.
