We are delighted to advise that there have not been any further COVID-19 positive cases at Gary Smorgon House or Residential Home Windsor over the past 24 hours.
We are delighted that a number of elders are no longer in isolation at both homes and some houses at Residential Home Windsor have now been stood down from the outbreak.
We remain in daily contact with the Public Health Unit (PHU) and continue to manage the outbreaks in line with their recommendations to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all elders and staff.
We will continue to undertake rapid antigen testing of elders as required. Elders and family members are being regularly updated.
For those wishing to visit elders at Gary Smorgon House or Residential Home Windsor, please note that COVIDSafe protocols are strictly enforced and we ask for your respect in complying. Of course, no visits must occur if the visitor is feeling unwell in any way.
A very special thank you to our staff in all our homes who continue to work tirelessly to provide excellent care to our elders. In very trying circumstances, our staff remain positive, committed and so caring.
We ask all in the community to extend their gratitude to our staff for their incredible commitment, compassion and care during these difficult times. Emails or letters of appreciation are welcomed and we know these messages have a great impact on our staff who work so tirelessly each and every day to keep our elders safe.
As gatherings often occur on long weekends, we urge everyone to remain hyper vigilant with sanitising, mask wearing where appropriate and remaining at home if you feel unwell. We cannot stress enough how important it is to get your COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines as soon as you are able.
