We are disappointed to advise that five residents have tested positive to COVID-19 at Gary Smorgon House.

Residents who are not showing any signs or symptoms and who have tested negative to COVID-19 are able to meet in communal spaces.

All staff, contractors and visitors are required to undertake a rapid antigen test on arrival and are required to wear a N95 mask and face shield at all times.

We will continue to undertake surveillance rapid antigen testing of residents for the next 7 days in accordance with guidelines from the South Eastern Public Health Unit.

All staff will wear Tier 3 PPE for all COVID-19 positive residents including N95 mask, face shield, gowns and gloves.

We will continue to work tirelessly to protect our residents and staff and request that you do not visit if you are feeling unwell. We ask visitors to respect and fully comply with all directions from our staff.

We remind and encourage our community to remain hyper-vigilant with sanitising, mask wearing where appropriate and remaining at home if you feel unwell or have returned a positive COVID-19 test.
