About the Role

Are you passionate about providing assistance and companionship to seniors during meal times? Join us as a Volunteer Senior Lunch Assistant at Jewish Care Victoria! As a Volunteer Senior Lunch Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our elderly residents have an enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. Your presence and support during lunchtime can make a significant impact on their well-being and overall quality of life.

What to expect - assisting residents during meal times by helping them with seating, serving food, and ensuring their dining area is clean and organized; engaging in friendly conversations and providing companionship during lunch; assisting with basic meal-related tasks as needed.

Working Hours

One hour once a week or fortnightly.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • A warm and compassionate personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to engage with elderly residents and build meaningful connections.
  • An understanding of the importance of companionship during meal times.
