A Classic Day with Itzhak

5 August  2019

Over 400 Jewish Care supporters, filling 3 cinemas, were treated to an exclusive screening of Itzhak at our annual Circle of Care’s Film Afternoon at the Classic Cinemas, Elsternwick.

As charming and entrancing as the famous virtuous violinist himself, the audience were uplifted by film’s warm, heimishe portrait of Izthak Perlman, his soul-stirring violin playing and his life story of endurance, resilience, humour and love.

Thank you to the many guests who have provided feedback, including our supporter and volunteer, Henri Korn, who shared his following thoughts with us:
“What a marvellous film Jewish Care dished up on Sunday. It was a moving and invigorating experience. Everybody was up in the clouds. Thank you Jewish Care for bringing so much joy to so many.”

For those unable to attend, the film is available for purchase or rent on the Classic Cinema’s website:
