We are delighted to advise that the entire Residential Home Windsor has today been stood down from being an outbreak site.
This means that all elders can return to communal spaces and engage in communal activities.
We will continue to undertake rapid antigen testing of elders who display any signs or symptoms.
Pleasingly, the stand down means that pre-outbreak visitation requirements will resume. The care and wellbeing of our elders and staff is our priority and we ask for visitors to respect and fully comply with any direction from our staff. Of course, no visits must occur if the visitor is feeling unwell in any way.
We are also delighted to advise that no new cases of COVID-19 have been detected at Gary Smorgon House for the past 3 days and it is expected that lockdown will cease in a matter of days.
We remind and encourage our community to remain hyper vigilant with sanitising, mask wearing where appropriate and remaining at home if you feel unwell. We cannot stress enough how important it is to get your COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines as soon as you are able.
