COVID-19 positive cases continue to increase steadily in our community and the community at large.

Over the past weekend, there has been an increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases at Gary Smorgon House (GSH).

In line with the recommended outbreak testing regime from the Public Health Unit (PHU), rapid antigen testing of our elders at GSH has been conducted over the past days.

The current outbreak is affecting all levels at GSH.

We continue to be in daily contact with the PHU regarding our outbreak management plans and instigating their recommendations to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all elders and staff.

Our dedicated staff continue to work tirelessly to provide excellent care to our elders.

For those wishing to visit the home, there are strict protocols and we ask you to contact the home prior to visiting to ensure compliance. Of course, no visits must occur if the visitor is feeling unwell in any way.

We ask all our community to remain hyper vigilant with sanitising, mask wearing where appropriate and remaining at home if you feel unwell. We cannot stress enough how important it is to get your COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines as soon as you are able.
