Young Achievers Program

We know that young people are the future of our community.

The Young Achievers Program is a group-based mentoring and skill development program for Jewish students in Years 10 – 12. The program welcomes young people from Jewish and non-Jewish schools who are highly motivated and driven to achieve in academics, sport, arts or leadership.

In addition to regular one-on-one meetings with a volunteer mentor, participants join together for focused group workshops and activities. At the end of the year-long program, eligible mentees can apply for an academic scholarship of up to $500 to support an identified goal.

The program aims to:

  • Build self-esteem, confidence and life skills
  • Provide opportunities for new experiences and personal development
  • Support greater connection with the Jewish community
  • Broaden social and professional networks
  • Provide goal-oriented financial support.

The program runs on a year-long cycle. Applications open in September, with eligible applicants invited to interview in November and December. There is no cost to participate in the program, which is generously supported by private donors.

For more information about the Young Achievers Program, contact the Front Door on 8517 5999.
