Getting you back on your feet
If you are finding it hard to make ends meet, Jewish Care can provide financial relief to help you get back on your feet.
Jewish Care’s material aid program forms part of an integrated response to helping people in financial need. At the heart of its philosophy is the desire to increase individual’s financial capability and confidence.
We do recognise that there can be times in ones life when unplanned, or unusual circumstances arise that require the need for additional financial assistance. Our material aid program can offer an individual, couple or family with one-off relief which can take the form, for example, of food vouchers or utility payments.
People requiring emergency financial assistance can greatly benefit from connecting with a financial counsellor who can offer a more holistic view of the situation including managing utility or credit card debts and longer term planning. It is for this reason that those seeking material aid will be offered the opportunity to be referred to one of Jewish Care’s accredited financial counsellors for free and confidential advice and support.
Jewish Care works in partnership with a range of other Jewish charitable organisations. A collective approach may be the best option for meeting the unique circumstances of an individual or family. As such Jewish Care may seek to engage other charities when planning to best meet the financial needs of community members. Your consent to do so will always be sought.
