7 August 2020
Jewish Care Victoria is continuing to work diligently with the Department of Health & Human Services and the Commonwealth Department of Health to safeguard the wellbeing of Elders and staff as we respond to cases of COVID-19 at our Residential Home in Windsor.
As of 9am on 7 August 2020:
- 12 Elders and six staff members have tested positive.
- All diagnosed Elders are under our care and are stable.
- The diagnosed staff members are quarantining at home.
Our twelve Elders who have tested positive are stable and are receiving care from our staff with clinical oversight from our Care Coordinator, their GPs and Alfred Health in-reach services.
While we fully appreciate how serious this virus is for vulnerable people, we hope and pray that our Elders make a full recovery. Families are being kept up to date regarding their loved one’s condition and we continue to communicate with all families to keep them informed.
Families are reminded to use the dedicated call centre that has been set up: 8517 5556 or [email protected]
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Elders, staff and the community is our most important concern and we will continue to take every precaution to achieve this.
