Jewish Care’s Healthy Ageing Program provides flexible health and wellbeing options for seniors in the Victorian Jewish community.

Offering a diverse range of social and recreational activities, therapies and services in a range of community languages, our skilled and friendly staff will assist you to remain active, independent and connected to passions, pursuits, friends and networks. This service is offered at a variety of community locations including Jewish Care aged care residences, and the Active Living Centre in Caulfield.

Our professional counsellors can help you create a tailored plan to manage your health and wellbeing. If your health or situation changes, we can advise you of various support options and services available.

Active Living Centre

The Jewish Care Active Living Centre – located at 76 Kooyong Rd in North Caulfield – is a vibrant hub for our community. This welcoming meeting place is home to our popular Healthy Ageing Program; a fun way for older people to stay connected. All activities and services are facilitated by skilled staff in this friendly and heimish (homely) environment.

Support for Holocaust Survivors

Meeting the needs of Holocaust Survivors is an important focus for Jewish Care. Our staff facilitate culturally sensitive support with a wide range of therapeutic and social support services.

Respite programs

(Includes National Respite for Carers Program) 

Respite programs assist carers supporting dependent seniors to enable them to continue to live at home. Seniors benefit from accessing day programs by pursuing activities, interests and friendships in a safe, supported and friendly environment, while carers gain peace of mind and enjoy planned breaks. The National Respite Carers Program also provides up to 4 hours a week of in-home respite care for carers, to enable them to have a break.
