Friendly Visitor
An exciting opportunity exists for a volunteer to join our Friendly Visitor program based in aged residential care.
This position provides the opportunity to visit isolated older people in residential care or at their own home and provide companionship and social support.
The successful candidate will have a passion for working with older Jewish people. You will be part of a large, friendly and supportive team.
Key qualities
This position requires a gregarious, fun-loving and outgoing persona. Individuals who are prepared to accept people for who they are and enjoy the company of those they are visiting.
Time Commitment
Weekly visits are preferred however, the minimum commitment is fortnightly. The amount of time that the visitor spends with the resident varies from friendship to friendship.
