About Volunteering

160 years ago, visionaries in our community established the foundations of
Jewish Care. They were volunteers, and they founded this organisation on enduring values: chessed (kindness), mishpacha (family), derech eretz (respect) and
tzedakah (charity).

These are the values that continue to drive us. They define who we are. They inform all that we do. As a volunteer, you are the living embodiment of those values.

Our volunteers form an integral part of our Jewish Care family and assist in many different ways throughout the organisation. We cannot underestimate the value that our volunteer team brings to the daily operation of all of our services, with thousands of hours delivered every year.
