Disability Support Workers (Permanent Part Time & Casual)

Jewish Care is currently recruiting the best and brightest Disability Support Workers to provide support to adults with moderate to severe disabilities within a residential setting and Children’s Respite. Workers support residents with a range of activities, including personal care, maintaining independence and their links to the community, recreational & social activities.

The Support Worker we are seeking has experience in working with adults and children with disabilities, will have experience in implementing behavior support plans and will possess the attitudes and values that Jewish Care requires: kindness, family, respect and charity.

A variety of shifts are available, applicants must be able to work Saturday and Sunday.

The successful applicant will also possess:

  • A qualification in Disability or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge and experience in behavior intervention, active support, and person centered planning;
  • A certificate in Level 2 First Aid is desirable;
  • PEG Feeding Tube training is an advantage;
  • Working With Children Check required for Children’s Respite
